It seems Kiran had some trust in Van, giving him the job of handling most trade after proving only that his only worth is to drink the rum that nobody touches. Despite that, it wasnt long until Kaldorians came knocking for some goods. Mae'var and Calantha both wish some supplies to help keep the stock up at the Strongholt's Tavern. They asked for the following;

1. Three Crates of Wine from Yew.
2. Two Crates of Vesperian Ale.
3. Four Crates of Shade.
4. Two Crates of All-sorted Mushrooms.

With the price of twenty thousand dubloons agree'd for on delivery, Van got straight to work, calling in his 'right-hand man' (and apparent adopted son..), Jackal Verilax.

Leaving Jack to get on with collecting the wine from the monks, and getting together some good old nightshade, Van started on collecting some mushrooms. The Kaldorians wanted a mix, and theres only two kinds of mushrooms that are capable of doing some mental damage.

Van started off heading north towards West Vesper where there is, as many of you should know, a large hole. This large hole is home to some pretty big ants, and Van knows that mushrooms like to grow among the ants eggs. Ofcourse he couldn't just ask for the mushrooms, first of all because the ants wouldn't understand him, and secondly the ants eat them.

Van threw himself into the large hole, and as soon as his feet touched ground, oh how he ran. Leaving the feeble ants trailing behind him not being able to keep up with him. Balls of acid flying aimlessly through the tunnels, splattering against the walls, Van was unstoppable. That was until, he found the eggs, and what was standing over those eggs? That's right folks, one big ass ant, known as 'The Queen Ant'. There was no way Van could take this beast down on his own, he's just a sailor for heavens sake, an undead one, but still just a sailor. They'd eat him whole, letting him slowly burn in their acid pouches. Anyway! How did Van pick these mushrooms without being munched on? Simple, he just ran about, picking them up as he passed.


With a bag full of 'Zoogi', he then marched on to Yew where the Elves lived. He's never been there himself, as his hate for Elves it probably greater than his hate for anything else. Marching in through the mystic portal that the Elves casted, Van was teleported high into the tree's. The mushrooms up here can be leathal if taken in large quantity, perfect for them Kaldorians eh? As he started picking them, minding his own, some of the Elves came up to him, asking what on earth he was doing. In reply to their questions, all Van did was hurl abuse to them, ultimatly ending up in him being kicked out of their city. Luckily he got just enough mushrooms to keep them Kaldorians satisfied.

Whilst Van was taking care of the mushrooms, Jackal was doing some work of his own. Later the night before he had also set off to Yew, but instead he had headed to Stonekeep, the home of the Yew Militia. Apparently Yew brew a rare wine known as Bloodmoss Wine, which can only be found in Yew, and the Kaldorians wanted abit. It was late and most of the Militia were in the barracks when Jackal arrived, but to his luck there were still some soldiers about.


With no luck at Stonekeep the only other place Jack could think of was the brewery to the North West where the wine is originally made. The following day, Jack set off to the abbey in the search for this wine. As he was about to enter the brewery, Jackal was hit with an evil plan that would keep the gold safely in his pocket, whilst also getting the wine.




With the two barrels stuffed with wine, the two of them ran off back to their base of actions on Bucc's Den, locking the barrels safely away until they're needed for shipping.
